I really wanted to like this podcast. The host has a great voice for narration and the story is interesting. But the litany of unsubstantiated critiques of law-enforcement in the first two episodes really got under my skin. I wish the host would do a better job of differentiating between personal opinion/supposition and the facts of the case.

It’s entertaining I guess but there is SO MUCH focus on Malibu. None of these shootings happened in Malibu. It’s was in and around Calabasas. Malibu Creek State Park is in Calabasas. Reporter is boring and slow. I felt like the first podcast revealed nothing. I hate the “Payne Lindsay” style of reporting- where journalists act like they and everyone around them doesn’t have access to the internet. There IS nothing in this podcast that isn’t out there already.
