Lost in Larrimah - a must listen podcast
Just listened to the first episode of the Lost in Larrimah podcast. Blown away. The creators, Caroline Graham and Kylie Stevenson, perfectly capture the voice of this remote Australian town - it’s colourful characters, rich stories, and mysterious undercurrents of hostility and tension. Thoroughly engaging and personable, the first episode quickly draws you in as you want to find out more about the inhabitants of this peculiar town - and what happened to Paddy Moriarty. I remember reading about this mystery through news articles at the time, and I’m so grateful to Kylie and Caro for enabling me to delve deeper into this story. They have a special talent in drawing out the stories of Larrimah’s residents - and bringing the listener along with them as we chat with the “suspects” in the bar of their pub, the intimacy of their livings rooms, or in the shade of their front verandahs. One episode in, I can’t wait to explore this interesting place - and story - further. Up there with the most engaging of podcasts, such as Serial, if not better...

Intimate insight though raw, unguarded, and charming interviews. A deep-dive into a bizarre but likeable community peppered with the macabre. Beautifully paced and well researched.

Hope the makers come back and fix the last two eps because I’m dying to find out what happened at inquest!! The first portion of the original show is amazing and well worth a listen.
