“As a Panamanian, I can easily recognize the exaggerations worked into the show. I imagine these are included with the intention of making the show more interesting obviously at the expense of the reputation of a beautiful part of my country.
The death of Kris and Lisanne is a horrible tragedy and the story is told well, just know that not everything you hear in this podcast is true. Things as verifiably incorrect as a claim of a ten hour drive from Panama City to Boquete by Atencio will call attention to anyone really familiar with the country.”
