I cannot STAND how these two separate and important women are constantly, in a totally slovenly manner, named “krisnlissan”. As though it’s one word and one person. This is a repulsive way to treat TWO separate women and minimises the importance of the proper nouns and their individuality. This...Read full review »

hilarious they kept saying their sources fear for their lives and are only agreeing to talk if their identities are kept secret. Then, they proceed to say the source is the forensic anthropologist that analyzed their remains and they reveal where he lives. They also use the first name of another...Read full review »

Not sure what the point of this series was. It really stretches to seem like there was a conspiracy to this story and ends up no where. At one point in the show a producer even says the hosts are trying to drum up drama for a good story rather than investigate the tragic story of two women going...Read full review »

I don’t usually listen to podcasts, but wow, this is a good one! The recent episodes have been fantastic- the shift from the first season is noticeable, but it’s a welcomed change. I love the way the stories are being narrated, and the mix of the host’s voice with the interviews creates a...Read full review »

Extremely sensationalist, adding little to the story apart from gossip (often reported as if it were fact). I felt increasing sympathy for the supposed “suspect” as time went on and they continually harassed him and besmirched his reputation on basically no evidence. The hand wringing over...Read full review »

The overall mystery is intriguing but they just use that to catch your attention and go off on their own wild goose chase of assumptions and speculation. If I was Feliciano I also would not have wanted to talk to these guys and I didn’t think there was anything in his involvement that made him as...Read full review »

You learn nothing new about the case - just hear a ton of speculation that makes no sense. I spent hours going down a false trail about two missing white women only to be encouraged to spend my resources to find missing indigenous women in the same region - not sure why couldn’t have used their...Read full review »

I was furious that I wasted so much time listening to a podcast where you basically learned that they had an idea of who it was before they got there, which was reaffirmed while they were there, but nothing was proven. Also, the focus on the white women while there are all of these cases she...Read full review »

The investigation does highlight enough to warrant it being opened again but in that part of the world where life is cheap and women are not respected the authorities won’t do anything. It’s tragic and underlines why certain places and people should be avoided at all costs. Terribly sad.

I did a binge listen… I’ve been to Boquete Panama , it’s fascinating hearing about this side of Panama. I never heard about this case of the Dutch girls murdered in Panama . Brilliant story telling !!

The podcast was great until they started talking about rumors surrounding an imaginary drug cartel that also did not kill the girls…….just left me very very confused.

The conversations and the ever repeated questions are just doll and the only reason is to drag out the series. The English translation from Spanish is just bad. When someone says no, how do you translate it to definite no?

Two desperate European girls go on a hike in the jungle, get lost then die. Two desperate journalists speculate on their demise and sell advertising and subscriptions against their fate. Bad, lazy, self- serving journalism.

Wow, ich habe alle Folgen angehört und bin entsetzt. Ich gebe zu, die Neugierde hat mich weiterhören lassen. I did not find the theory put forth in episode 6 credible or plausible at all. It seems more like a grieving mother’s attempt to whitewash her son’s gangster lifestyle. Rehashing existing information, implicating individuals on the flimsiest evidence, false dramatics and rank sensationalism. This is not journalis. Embarrassing and reinforces the poor journalist reputation of the Daily Beast. Joke.

They got lost or hurt and eaten by animals, and I say that with kindness and love to their memory. This show and host is just grossly telling the story. Her inflection and emphasis on words and phrasing throughout would be embarrassing if it weren’t so disgusting. Shameful.

Seems like the are taking a sad circumstance and trying to gain from it.
