Poor writing and editing
The content might be there, but the writing and editing is poor. Presented more as the podcast equivalent of clickbait than actual journalistic work. Perhaps there was more work done behind the scenes (for example, they interview one person to review photos and then make material assumptions based on his statements) that make the big assumptions seem less like huge leaps of logic or blind faith and more like credible fact finding and analysis. For instance, can we assume there was a police cover up because some of the people who might have been peripherally involved in the women’s lives before their disappearance have died in separate incidents and each of them was ruled an accident without a homicide investigation? Did they speak with the local police? No one knows. Can we assume that one person is a “sociopath” and murderer because we have one non-specific anecdote shared by a community member about how he became angry while drinking? Did they try to talk to that person? I wish someone had sat down and taken a methodical approach to their trip to Panama and then presented this story in a more fact-based analytical investigation. Feels like a missed opportunity. This is not the first time I’ve felt this way about a Kast media production; maybe time for some additional editing or content training for their staff?

Great Narration! In depth investigating and on site searching. Kept me intrigued and I am looking forward to listening to more regarding conclusions and theories. Hopefully this investigation leads to answers and/or closer to knowing what happened.
