Description
The small parish of East Feliciana Louisiana was struck by a wave of violence in the summer and fall of 2017. Sheriff Jeff Travis found himself facing a chilling reality of a serial killer on the loose. The first victim, Thomas Bass, was shot in his own driveway, leading investigators on a mysterious path with changing weapons being used in subsequent shootings.
Buck Hornsby narrowly escaped death when he was shot while out on his property, crediting a minor ankle injury for saving his life. The community was in shock and fear as more shootings occurred, with Carol Breeden and Brad DeFranceschi becoming victims as well.
The wives of the victims shared their harrowing experiences of finding their loved ones shot, trying to save them, and dealing with the aftermath of the horrifying events. The fear and anxiety in the community were palpable, with people constantly on edge, not knowing when the killer would strike next. Law enforcement worked tirelessly, investigating the shootings and searching for a suspect, unsure if they were dealing with one person or multiple perpetrators.
As the number of victims grew, the realization that they were all connected by the same killer became apparent to Sheriff Travis and his team. The community was gripped by fear, not knowing when the next attack would occur. As the investigation unfolded, the hunt for the serial killer intensified, leading to the dramatic arrest of Ryan Sharpe.
