besides being incredibly entertaining and compelling and funny and interesting and all the usual superlatives one would throw on a radio show they love, i am amazed by love+radio for showing me (as banal as this sounds:) what radio can be. there are other shows that might capture the great idiosyncrasies of a guest's speech, none of them are willing to dwell in a moment or emotion or sound. and besides the boundary-pushing incredible-forward-thinkingness of it all, it's just really tasteful and emotively powerful. to use a possibly familiar analogy from music: it's like the way animal collective changes the way you think about how people use samples and vocals, while also being just genius songwriters.Read full review »

This podcast really captured my attention with the episodes Strip and Aftermath. A humorous look into the darkness. A+
