“Love everything but your use of the “R-word” and the context in which you use it. Before you start thinking that I should just simply ignore it and move on, let me tell you why it hurts to hear that word used so carelessly. My son has Down Syndrome. And you may think to yourself, “I’m not talking about your son.” You are. That term is an outdated medical term that once described people exactly like my son and is now used exactly like you do, to describe people who may not all “be there” ...get a clue dude. Tony Merkel sent me here and I’ll listen to a few more shows and HOPE that you learn how to use discretion like this in your podcast. If you don't practice discretion...I sincerely hope that you have a child or grandchild in the future who has a cognitive delay so you can feel the sting I feel when that word is used. You get 3 stars because I’ve listened to 2 podcasts..and you’re on to something quite profound. However your lack of tact and discretion is entirely off putting.
