Great variety of contributors and content. But please cut down on the unnecessary intro music etc. Thanks for your hard work.

Without James Meadway all balance was lost with a full scale attack on Starmer from the two contributors. Suggesting the cabinet despises those without further ed and that “Labour pandered to right wing voters who never voted for them” and already saying Starmer can’t possibly win the 2nd term!...Read full review »

I find the show really useful, economics can be so dense these days it’s hard to pick it apart sometimes. Wish the episodes were longer!

The Grace Blakey episode was supposedly about election economics….but both the host and guest got distracted with Labours deselection decision and then proceeded to talk about whatever else came to mind following that.

I’ve previously enjoyed James Medway missives in print but it’s only in audio that I realise what a miserable person he is. If you also find the world to be a terrible place because of the fault of others, then this show is also for you.

The depth of analysis here is phenomenal and balanced against a level of clarity that a non-specialist can follow with little difficulty. Meadway and co excel at countering lazy, mainstream media narratives with insightful and sometimes counterintuitive explanations.

Confronts the climate crisis in every episode, unlike most of the media. James uses novel but down to earth examples to show how the economy could work if our society wasn’t based on individualism, greed and short term thinking.

Very glad I’ve found this. It’s obvious to many of us that economics isn’t working as well as it could but it’s not easy for the layman to unravel the underlying complex issues. This podcast is unusually clear and insightful and I love how free of waffle, padding and ads it is

Really important way to get careful, fact based economic analysis.

Disappointing. It took 8’30” to get to the point of discussion of Uber. One example of an Uber worker being deserted in a crisis. The owners are rich, the workers are poor!” No research-based examples of Uber’s failures, which exist, or quantitative analysis, or comparison or how specific...Read full review »

I’m absolutely delighted that this podcast has emerged from behind a paywall. The impact of neo-liberal economics upon our governance is vast. If we are going to challenge the Thatcherite mantra of TINA (There is No Alternative) we need to be literate in basic economics. The need for economic...Read full review »

Easily the best podcast I’ve come across recently. Calm, clear and pacy presentation. Economics is not one of the disciplines I understand well , but I feel that listening to James and the other excellent hosts is going to be an education. Give it a listen.

Brilliant 15 minute roundup of the latest economic news. Always willing to talk about the real issues The mainstream media failed to pick up on & forecasting where we are going. Far more refreshing than the same old business as usual. Keep it up 🙏🌍🌱

Macro topics delivered with a huge left wing bias. Make sure this isn’t the only macro content you use…

I find current affairs much easier to grip and talk about, especially around the economy, after listening to James

So easy to get lost and bogged down when talking about economics but James manages to explain it in a way makes sense! Thank you!
