Taken a strange turn recently
Have listened to this podcast for several years. There was usually a bit of insider banter that you put up with, as the end product was insightful and informative. However recently the presenter line-up has moved to a chummy, schmuzie, smaltzie presentation style, rather than a journalistic facts and opinions, which I certainly prefer in any radio/podcast presentation. I guess the presenters would argue that they bring personality to the show, in the same way that many DJs would profess to do. This week's episode had the female presenter pronouncing Sir Jonathan Ive's name as Joni (as in Joni Mitchell). Maybe it's due to my years of listening to the BBC World Service, but something as eventful as an Apple Keynote sounded like smultze. Needless to say I've unsubscribed from this podcast after a number of years of weekly listening.Read full review »
