Better off Sleeping
The problem isn't that they aren't "super fans" of the show, and thus don't know enough about it. It's that they don't know much about anything. Also, whenever the conversation approaches something potentially interesting, there's a frat-boy "ooooooooh" that shifts things back to the default fatuousness.
