You guys are awesome!
I've made a few indie feature films in my time as a director, actor, writer and producer and let me just say... it is not for the weak of heart. But is is definitely fullfilling and if you have the passion for this work, it only grows with each new challenge. The "Making Movies Is Hard" podcast confirms this for me every time I tune in, bringing on amazing guests with varying careers and viewpoints and hosted by two real filmmakers with real passion for the work. You can hear it in the questions to their guests and in the discussions of their own trials and tribulations on their own projects. It's refreshing and humbling to know that we're all going through some version of the same journey as indie filmmakers. Bravo! Keep up the good work and... we're listening. More reviews of Making Movies is HARD!!!
I listen to many filmmaking podcasts. MMIH is one I look forward to. I enjoyed the old format and I enjoy the new format more and more each week. Making movies is hard, but it’s easier when you know you’re not alone. Thanks Liz and Alrik for letting us hang out with you and your guests!

Timothy and Alrik are awesome guys and great interviewers. They keep the conversations informative and focused. There just aren't many outlets dealing with the filmmaking struggle on a level relevant to the everyday listener and that's why their podcast is so valuable. Keep it up guys!Read full review »
