“I feel like this podcast buries the lede. The Malty Bois talk about it like it's a beer and comedy podcast, reviewing whales and doing bits. But really, on a deeper level this is a personal journey. It's a shared look into what would normally be a deeply private transformation. We are all witnesses to Michael, the Yale-educated PMG, becoming a real adult. He's learning vocabulary from Alex at the beginning of every episode. He's being educated in basic life lessons, like the meaning of "licking your chops."
