Relentless self promotion
Forgot to add that my biggest bug bear with Outloud is probably that they cannot let a single episode go by without mentioning one of their other podcasts. I literally have a competition with myself everytime I’m listening and if it gets near to the end of the podcast I think ‘wow, maybe today they’re not going to name drop one of their other podcasts!’ But lo and behold next second they’ll drop it in. Never fails. It’s annoying how they always plug the bejeebus out of their other ones. Every now and again might be fine but every episode? Mia is the absolute worst at trying to make it sound natural too and it comes off as completely fake and put on. “I was just listening to an episode of the quicky about this very topic today”. “I just did a No Filter about this”. It’s so obvious but she thinks she’s doing a good job of just mentioning it casually and unintentionally. She’s not. Also, the musical interludes at the end of some segments are just way too long that I wanna fast forward because they’re uncomfortable and awkwardly too long. Especially when you do sad funeral dark music for what feels like a full minute. Make it quicker. Or even better omit it all together. Such a long bit of music between segments is not necessary. And the situation in Palestine or domestic violence against women is already a sad thing to listen to on a podcast - we don’t need sad dreary music at the end on its own too.

I'm sorry to see Jam leave the podcast and I tried to give it a few weeks for it to settle without her but it hasn't. Someone is also breathing VERY heavy and I find it way too distracting. I'm sorry girls, but please stop Mon singing and bring back Jam!!!Read full review »

About time!!! Three smart and funny women on a podcast. Love the guests and particularly love it when the three disagree.
