This podcast is turning into difficult to listen. There is too much explaining of personal stuff through “stories and interesting conversations” that is to steer their own narrative. I am sorry to say this, but Mia, are you ok? It is so evident the team is struggling with managing some manic...Read full review »

The advertising dressed up as content is ick. Please don’t say “right” after voicing your opinion. It sounds like a bossy school ma’m. I’m beginning to wonder if your sponsors are dictating the content. It’s seems fishy.

Once an avid listener, I can’t help but feel the show is losing touch with its audience, and becoming a soapbox for insightless privileged women. I indeed am a privileged white woman, a 34 year-old psychiatrist, but I am continually astounded by the way lavish holidays are discussed, juxtaposed...Read full review »

Please let people finish their sentences. Stop interrupting! And please stop talking about rubbish topics about socks, rat boys and tic tic virals posts. Light stuff here and there sure but honestly I miss the more nuanced episodes about interesting topics. I feel like it has lost touch with its...Read full review »

Funny how riled up Mia gets about Trump and American politics but completely ignores the political storms in Australia. Fatima Payman resigning from the Labour Party was a HUGE story, particularly considering she’s a woman and a refugee and you’re supposedly a woman’s media company, remember...Read full review »

I absolutely love this podcast. He is so honest and often raw. I like the fact that they don’t gloss ever when they have made a mistake and will give a good deep dive into the current topics. I also really get the feeling that they do have every day struggles that we all have, and that the host...Read full review »

The one-sided and unbalanced US political analysis by Mia is insufferable. Incapable of listening to an opposing view without interrupting, deflecting or blaming Trump and Republicans. Appreciate Jessie (when she could get a word in) on providing an unbiased view.

I have come in and out of this podcast for me it’s at it’s best when it’s more light than shade I don’t listen for heavy topics the latest episodes have been just perfect

I love this podcast, and listen to every episode religiously! But one piece of feedback; the constant talk of being tired, time poor and overworked is not as relatable as they think it’s actually just annoying to hear all the time

Mia Freedman is my hero I live her outfits and makeup and she is a women who is not afraid to speak her truth and be brave I personally find her very realatable.

Look, I get it, I really do. But seriously - in the last pod, Holly asked you to not interrupt her more than once and you appeared to agree, only to interrupt her again before she had even finished her sentence. At this point, it’s just plain disrespectful.

Was hard to listen to the tearing down of Katy Perry in your armchair, gratuitous and self indulgent planting of the tall poppies which you then quickly chopped down. Thank you Jessie for some voice of reason on both Trump and Katy. Otherwise it just sounds like typical female snarkiness. Rise...Read full review »

I like the podcast and some of the deeper topics. But I often feel they are just so privileged - with amazingly supportive families and partners - that their opinions often lack any insight into how tough life can really be for other women. Something has changed in the last 18 months. Once a long time listener and subscriber, I can no longer make it through an episode. What were once thoughtful, insightful and well researched topics has now nose-dived into trivial pop culture tidbits. Cringey and disappointing.

Sometimes it feels like the hosts take opposing points on a topic that their Australian audience is unlikely to be highly invested in (eg Biden’s fitness for office) so they can perform and market a lively “disagreement” without loosing followers by hashing out real opinions on a high stakes...Read full review »

You have no idea what women are talking about. Out of your bubble and you’d maybe get a clue. Another one leaving, your disgraceful stance on Palestinians during a genocide. And then gaslighting your audience. See ya.

8 months. That’s how long mammamia spent buying time and hoping they could ignore an entire genocide and it would just blow over. And in that time, Mia labeled protesters as menacing and uninformed. Cancelled my subscription and moving on. Disappointing that this once smart, engaging and funny podcast now seems to be full of uninteresting tic toc content. Mia’s constant interrupting and relating things back to herself is tiring. Subscription content is not worth my money anymore.

I’ve listened to Outloud for a long time…but sadly I think it’s losing its shine lately. The Friday episodes are now recorded days in advance and lack depth. I listen to most eps, but the constant spruiking of every other mamamia piece of content is becoming off putting. Today’s episode is 4:12 into it before you actually talk about this episode of the podcast. I’d prefer for this to be at the end of the podcast.
Freethelip via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 07/01/24
Since its rebranding Outloud has lost its spark. Fridays are not worth listening to and obviously record well in advance. Nothing to raise your awareness or engaging. As Hamish and Andy would say “bring back the gusto”

This pod lost its way when it covered the Voice and began caring about American politics. The coverage was completely one-sided and pushed the hosts’ agendas.
