Description
They are the kind who work their way into people's homes and win the confidence of vulnerable women who are burdened with the guilt of sin and controlled by various desires (2 Timothy 3:6).
We must not be unreasonably skeptical (Hebrew 3:8; Proverbs 29:1). But it also discourages us from being gullible (Proverbs 18:13). The gullible believe anything they are told, the prudent sift and weigh every word {Proverbs 14:15}.
Gullible means to be easily deceived, overly trusting, or quickly taken in. Not questioning someone's motives can put you in dangerous situations.
Bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).
