Mark & You & Me
Mark has gone from strength to strength as a Podcast host and a film critic. The appeal of this show is simple- Mark. Mark is a friendly, jovial, hilarious intellectual fan-boy! Now as a fan-boy, and one who is in a position of helming his own podcast(s) I imagine in the public consensus it's usually easy to degrade somebody stating their passions/loves in a public fashion. Because everyone can do this...right?! Wrong! There's distinctions between ranting or trying to conform to the latest trend and actually being into cinema, the industry, the machinations, the history, the culture shock, sociological repercussions. Yes, there comes a lot of backlash, usually...because in our day and age of nerds/ everyone can be a critic mentality since the rise of social media. Here its not the case. Marks passion, dedication, insight personifies himself as the go to guy when it comes to the real deal of film-journalism and critiquing. Its from the real place. Mark is not the everyman of fan boyism, like these wannabe You-Tubers- he is a legitimate Podcaster who is also a lover of entertainment. Mark as a host/as an auditory influence is made the more real, with his obvious exhalations and pure unbridled bursts of genuine excitement. This translates well when it comes to him talking to the various, diverse guests he has had on. The questions posed comes from his own interests and not something he does as a job/is fed into his ear. . . The guests he has on his Podcast MARK & ME are diverse. Even if you're not interested in the cult cinema world or you utterly loathe certain genres- the interviews I guarantee will get a rise out of you, whether laughs, intrigue, curiosity, you'll get it because Mark as an interviewer is welcoming, real, open and exposes himself on a deep level that you can't not get an emotional resonance from. I utterly adore Mark and his guests are as genuine as he is. A really rare form of Interviewing stars of Hollywood/cinema. Listen to it and enjoy.Read full review »

Mark really knows his stuff. Great to hear such fascinating movie insights. Mark holds his own when interviewing the type of A-Class guests that Jonathan Ross, would usually host. From looking into such minds of top movie people like Kevin Smith and Anthony Hopkins, to top secrets on the sets of...Read full review »
