“Driscoll is a rare thing--a pastor of a mega church who isn't afraid to stand for the truth of the Bible even when it isn't "politically correct". These days, the popular thing is to be "tolerant" of all kinds of sin, but Pastor Mark stands up and says, "The Bible says..." whether it's taking a stand against homosexuality, pre marital sex, adultery, laziness, etc, etc. It's refreshing, and not surprising that non-Christians and weak brethren who get their theology from TV and movies would bristle.
And for the person who said that people that want to join Mars Hill have to take a test to prove they agree with Driscoll's doctrine, that's how you join a church. Who would want to join one they don't agree with, and why would any church want to take on the headache of a member that disagrees and is going to cause trouble with their pet doctrines? I'm sure someone who doesn't agree with Mars Hill's doctrine can look around and find a church they do agree with.”Read full review »

“Ummm, yeah, Mark Driscoll is the best Christian communicator out there. Sorry if he offends you. You probably need it. He's smart and theologically conservative, but funny as hell!”Read full review »

“Mark's teachings are faithful to the word, including his very appreciative teaching on women. Listen, not just react, the Bible teaches that men and women have been assigned different family and church roles. Neither roles denegrated, but very different. If you have an issue, it's not...”Read full review »
