Fun and informed analysis ain't easy but here we are!
My other go-to source for endlessly dissecting The Handmaid's Tale only recorded for season one so I was so happy to find Mayday. I was even happier that Crystal, Justin and Sarah have a natural hosting ability. They all participate equally and don't talk over one another. They also have a solid understanding of intersectionality in their discussions wihout being pedantic, which would be easy with a show like Handmaid's Tale. I sound like a plant but I actually do appreciate Mayday's good mix of recap and thoughtful take on broad themes like motherhood, geopolitics, etc. And Crystal is my kind of petty for wanting to beat Serena in the face! And can I just give three cheers for having good sound? So many podcast sound crappy, but keep up the good work, y'all, and thank you for not mumbling or blowing out my eardrums.Read full review »
