.....that I recognise myself in this. A middle aged man playing with himself

The only way snooker should be played. On your own, in a loft, on a wonky green board, live streamed to a bunch of losers. SPSF forever!

TIL about a SPS scene in the 1985 New Zealand cult classic The Quiet Earth. Played on a no-regulation 12 by 6 board by the looks of it so I quickly lost interest.

Great to hear that I was not the only one that played and commented like this (though as a child) Great nostalgic podcast Thank you Richard. I look forward to listening to a morning and evening podcast daily (if not a few more) over the coming days.

I hate regular snooker but this is something else. Self playing snooker should be an olympic sport!

Whenever my cultured friends ask me to explain the hold sport has over me, I play them an episode of this. Then they understand

The episode with the arrival of the commissioner of self playing snooker to address claims of racism is one of the greatest works of art in any format.

Richard Herring slowly descends into madness - five stars!

Just the best sports podcast ever - i just hope it does not become mainstream and make it to the tele.

Me1 or Me2? Referee1 or Referee2? Commentator1 or Commentator2? So many characters. So much fun. What will the room be called today?? Highlights for me are when one of the cats jumps on the table. Now we have a baby too. It's gonna get good when she starts jumping on the table. Love it.Read full review »

Mr Herring you cannot keep talking about playing yourself at snooker in the basement all the time when you've not played for six monthRead full review »

I like the fact this exists and I would recommend giving it a whirl, but don't let this put you off his other garbage, as his other garbage is bloody gold.Read full review »

Is this podcast genius or madness, who is to say. What is to say is that it is a podcast where a man plays snooker against himself while commentating on it, as verious verisions of himself, and I love it.

I’m a big fan of self-playing snooker, I’m so glad there exists a platform for this excellent sport, especially via an audio medium, the only true way to experience the game. A lot of people on here seem upset that this isn’t a comedy podcast but I don’t know why they would have that impression,...Read full review »

Is this still going, Richard are you alright?

This really made my afternoon today. Richard Herring's friendly cheeky humour is just the medicine for a depressing January Wednesday. I think with all Rich's shows and podcasts, this is too long. If it was 15 minutes it would be way better and his live shows should be an hour rather than...Read full review »

I know a man playing himself at snooker - repeatedly - doesn't sound like it would be funny. But it is. Give it a go.Read full review »

I've been trying to find a podcast of a man playing snooker with/against himself on a 6 by 3 snooker board in his utility/basement room - and also introduce, commentate, referee, invigilate & interview it all himself. I can't believe this is classed as comedy. I am aware that Mr...Read full review »

As a long term listener, I like the self playing banter. The longevity of this podcast proves what a genius Richard is. Talking to himself so often in an entertaining way will never be surpassed. Please keep playing yourself (even after you move house!).

I listened to the first episode when it came out and thought it amusing but didn't come back for more. I had thought RH had done a couple more then given up am simultaneously impressed and worried that this carries on. While I agree with Me2’s lifetime ban I think he should still be part of the podcast, maybe he could replace Richard Herring as the host.

I will never stop listening to this Richard. Its my favourite. Don’t Judge me.

Frame 8 seems to be a turning point, with the commentator admitting that he’s finding the game boring and Me2 threatening to ruin the life of Richard Herring the comedian. Time will only tell whether Me2 will escape the basement or if the referee will find the courage to stand up to him.

Sadly now only intermittently produced to mark significant world events, celebrity deaths and favourable mentions in the Daily Telegraph, Me1 vs Me2 Snooker - even in this late, elegiac phase, as it rages against the dying of the light - is the best thing in all art ever and is actually better...Read full review »

Looked on google for information on this podcast and found this enlightening review "Do you have to play ME:1 to understand ME:2? - Steam Community... After listening to the first six frames of this podcast, I have come to the conclusion that if you weren't a snooker-loving, sloping 6x4 snooker-table-owning (complete with Pioneer chalk) child of the 80's, then it just might not be for you. Thankfully, I was that child and I am already...Read full review »

Looking forward to the latest episode of this. Will we ever see the return of Me 3? Will Me 2 be too distracted from his game with his side line gig as Richard Herring interviewer? Things have never got more dramatic than this.
