Excellent, intelligent podcast
I was enthusiastic when I found this podcast a couple of months ago--but today unsubscribed. The caliber of guest is outstanding. Unfortunately, the journalism is terrible. Guests are constantly asked to speculate outside their areas of expertise--because of the high calibre of guest, guests try to be clear they are being asked to speculate, but it's still wasted air time. Today was the last straw. The analysis of indigenous participation in the Nanaimo town hall was so poorly done, I've unsubscribed. Guests were analyzing the event using media reports, with no research into what happened (I was there). They made assumptions about who people were and what they did, and--the kicker --mischaracterized the participation of the First Nation leadership in the event. The disrespect, poor journalism this episode was so disturbing, I stopped listening after a few minutes and have unsubscribed.Read full review »

This podcast is superb! Your conversations are refreshing and so important in this country that is so afraid of itself, and paralyzed by the fear of real dialogue by/for/with Indigenous people. I love the questions, topics and thoughtful contributors and Rick, you are a great host.
