Great premise, bad execution
Some major gripes I have with this show: 1. Dr Kipper has the most annoying voice and many of his explanations are unnecessary or redundant. E.g. it'll mention that a victim died of head trauma and he'll be like "head trauma is when there is trauma to the head..." Like yeah, fascinating stuff there doc. 2. Some of these just straight up aren't medical murders. I came here to hear about doctors killing their patients, not serial killers that also happen to be doctors in their off time. 3. Bad spacing(?): What could make a solid 40 minute episode is split into two 40 minute parts because there are so many ads and things are arbitrarily stretched to hit the two episode mark so that they don't have as much work to do. 4. Obligatory complaint that Parcast is moving to Spotify Other than all that, it's a solid listen. If you're interested in the premise, it'll probably be worth listening to. It just doesn't really stand out in any way and has some pretty major drawbacks.Read full review »
