“One long commercial, with some out-dated practices, and information. Sorry Jamie, I tried, but I was bored, and aggrivated through many of the episodes. Maybe the region where I work is more progressive, but many of the things you talk about are out dated practices, or just incorrect. Your podcast has potential, but I think you need to back off of the ads, maybe just post links to your web page instead of reading ads for 30 minutes each episode. I understand it takes time, and you can't do it for free. But it is really hard to listen to. And I would also recomend a more progressive approach to EMS. We clear C-Spine in the field. We don't call for any first line interventions, and very few secondary interventions. We have Third Year Medical Students ride with us to learn from us. Not us from them. Paramedics practice medicine. I was hoping your podcast would help communicate what our job is all about, but I have found that it just furthers the "Ambulance Driver" stereotype, and stigma from years of under-treating patients. Our history of poor education, and MD and RN worshiping. But we are beyond that. I will check back to see if you can come across with a more modern approach to pre-hospital medicine. I wish I could find an EMS podcast for professional paramedics. Maybe you can eventually fill that need.”
