“I used to listen to these all the time back when they were free. Now you gotta pay for them so minus one star. Otherwise these are great. I am a field paramedic and these podcasts were able to cater to my incredibly limited attention spa..
I discovered them at a critical point in my career when I was really having a difficult time tying concepts together. Combined with expert guidance, these podcasts boosted my skills to exactly where I needed to be, and helped to save my career. For that I am grateful.
I have used the knowledge gained from these podcasts to flow better with nurses and other healthcare providers. They gave me a better understanding of the totality of patient care. In one case I was able to pick up hyperkalemia that was missed by a transferring physician. She was in a junctional rhythm with giant T waves and the doctor wanted to implant a pacemaker. Her potassium was 7. Instead she got calcium, bicarb, insulin, d50, albuterol and Kayexalate, just like the podcast taught.
This may not be the best podcast for you if you are easily offended by the exact same edgy toilet humor as you would see on any major television network, or if you think very highly of yourself like IM Resident Ryan Dunn, but they worked for me, and I have positively affected many lives with the knowledge gained from these audio podcasts.
Thank you doctors for the service you have provided.”
