“Horrible show and it's mostly Simon Thompson's fault. He's a smug and unlikable host, a confused movie reviewer who seems to struggle with comprehending simple movie plots, and an unethical journalist, who blatantly and openly advocates breaking the rules of journalism right here on this show.
What kind of professional journalists openly advocate illegally signing fake names on non-disclosure agreements, in order to get away with releasing information that they've been entrusted not supposed to release? What kind of professional journalists claim that no self-respecting journalist would sign their real name on an agreement? What kind of professional journalists support "making a stink about it" when confronted about releasing said confidential information? The unethical hosts/guests of this show, that's who.
And these idiots need to stop acting like they can review movies - maybe just stick to celebrity gossip - because they're too dumb to comprehend the movies they've watched. They keep complaining that movies don't make sense, plots don't make sense, they don't understand what happened in the movie, and so on, as if movies are too confusing for them to comprehend. Well, I've seen the same movies and I've had no problem understanding. So it's not the movie's fault, the hosts of this show are just stupid.
For example, get this, in one episode in which Simon and his co-hosts were trying to trash a movie they've watched, they complained about how the villain of the movie "came outta nowhere" at the end of the movie. They claimed to have looked around, baffled and confused, asking the other people in the theater what's going on in the movie, because they didn't understand who the villain was. They had no idea who the villain was or where he came from. They used this point to argue that the movie was "truly horrible" and "nothing makes sense." But the movie they're talking about is a sequel and it was the same villain from the previous movie! These guys are so dumb that they apparently had no clue who the villain was, even though he'd been around for two movies!
If the Popcorn Talk Network had any self respect they'd fire Simon Thompson & Friends and hire some better hosts or just cancel this worthless Movie Press show altogether.”Read full review »
