“Ok it’s really weird to me to put out a podcast talking about how awful corporations are (and they are!) while also participating extensively in capitalism. 7mins in, I’ve heard 2 mins of content and 5 of advertisements. At 23 mins in we have now taken 3 breaks for many many advertisements and idk it’s too much. It interrupts the thread of thoughts and flow of narration. Usually there’s maybe two ad breaks in a podcast of this length. Ugh.
Anyways- it strikes me as well a lot of complaints lodged at Amazon are just how workers are treated in the US and maaaaybe that should be brought in the discussion. Go to any factory- you DO NOT get unlimited bathroom breaks. They’re tightly controlled and drug tests are something every bloody company does in the US. There’s a lot of criticism towards amazon, but it’s not just them.”
