There’s gotta be something, like can we turn the ad frequency down by 1%?? Release this on cd? Send you money in an envelope and get a flash drive back??

Very informative, and consequently creepy. The stories of employee mistreatment seem shocking but believable. I understand that much of the source material is interviews with anonymous employees, but my one complaint is I would like to see a source list so I can talk more convincingly to people...Read full review »

Welcome to the American employment system. Points for calling off sick but the told “don’t come in sick because you don’t want to spread anything.” It’s the same when you work in the healthcare system in the U. S.. imagine, being a healthcare worker but being penalized if you call off sick?!

Excellent investigating, interviewing, and reporting. Everyone should give this a listen. I will gladly listen to ads so Jake Hanrahan can continue doing this work. Uncovering and compiling this stuff is not easy and requires hundreds of hours of work.

As someone who works on the corporate side of one of the biggest companies that like Amazon is a household name, I hope there’s another season. My close friend works for the plant of the corporation I’m employed by and we both found this series to be unfortunately relatable to our own...Read full review »

I’ve spent nearly 17 min of my life listening to the intro episode and episode 1 and 13 of that time has been hearing the same sensationalized ads. Garbage.
Megan LaPuma via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/05/22
It’s a good podcast, just way too many commercials.

Ok it’s really weird to me to put out a podcast talking about how awful corporations are (and they are!) while also participating extensively in capitalism. 7mins in, I’ve heard 2 mins of content and 5 of advertisements. At 23 mins in we have now taken 3 breaks for many many advertisements and...Read full review »

The subject areas covered and people interviewed are really interesting. However, there are two very annoying things about this podcast; the excessive number of ads, and the presenter’s voice! It’s not an actual regional accent from the UK, he’s putting on some sort of wannabe roadman accent.

Yellow journalism at it’s finest. The trouble with having “journalists” out there in public that have no academic background in journalism is that they don’t understand how to be objective. This is one of many podcasts out there who claim to be taking a journalistic approach to a subject but are...Read full review »

I really like Jake Hanrahan’s reporting, I’ve subscribed to his other podcasts and projects. But this one feels like it’s half ads and half reporting. Very annoying.

Half the podcast is ads. Rediculous

Great content, but do you really have to have so many ads? The message tends to get lost when surrounded by all the interruptions - loses the flow of the show. Probably the last episode I’ll bother listening to because of this.

I like this podcast as it’s interesting to hear about the underlying workings of this megacorporation. It gives us something to think about and we can take it or leave it.

I love the podcast however, having to listen to 3 minute ad breaks several times in a podcast that is 30 minutes long is insane. There’s got to be a way you can reduce the number of ads per episode. Nearly 1/3 of the episode is ads.

This podcast is littered with ads and only talks about Amazon. There are many flaws in the reporting especially episode 6. The author makes a single connection and draws past security failures that were ALL caused by the customers failing to secure their data. I mean if I sell you a car that has...Read full review »

I wanted to respond to the review that claimed the information about ring doorbells was inaccurate. The writer points out that a recent consumer report states law enforcement must request access from the owner. I just wanted to clarify a little that according to the ring law enforcement guide...Read full review »

Take this show for what it is, entertainment. Stories are not properly researched. Some only have one source and opinions are given on how a process in a company works and not facts. Please next time do more research and get information from not only employees at low level but mid and senior...Read full review »

Annoyingly has more ads than the average podcast. I dont like the podcast's image/art. Of all the images to choose..? Well, ya, Amazon is a big company that just cares about profits @ any cost. Not like that’s some big reveal being unearthed. People know that. Typical big profit hungry...Read full review »

In episode 5 “Is Amazon Spying on You?”, Jake talks about Ring devices and that the company will just give police departments access to content behind the owners’ backs. There is a lot of questionable behavior about what they used to do, so it’s possible that this used to be true, but it...Read full review »

I work in IT and I was disappointed in the AWS episode. It’s clear that you’re not familiar with how clouds work - I wouldn’t expect you to be - and it leads to some weak arguments. First, the section about security breaches. All clouds, not just AWS, have a shared responsibility model for...Read full review »

Short episodes that have enough interesting content to be easy to listen to. But there are a lot of ads for a ~30 minute podcast.

Got about 10 minutes into episode 2…I was completely disgusted but sadly not surprised. I hit pause and went and turned off the auto renewal on Amazon Prime. I’ve had that since 2002, and why? I don’t truly need half the stuff I order any more anyway! It’s more of a lazy convenience at this point...Read full review »

Loving the podcast, Jake is brilliant and gives a great insight into the world of Amazon. However, there are way too many ads. Really loved the fact that Jake explained the role of trade unions. As a trade union rep in the NHS lots of people just don’t know what a trade union .Many us especially on the left assume that people will know but why would they if it hasn’t impacted their life

Megacorp brings the same depth of reporting, researching, and interviews that Popular Front focuses on under reported conflict to modern corporations. The current reports on amazon are very good, and I can’t wait for more news from other companies.
