Truth is your Best Friend
As difficult as it is to hear the truth. I am married (13+ years) to a non clinically diagnosed narcissist abuser. After I was counseled to no contact separate and did so for the past two months. He joined in group therapy for narc abusers and I set about my own healing and self awareness journey to learn why I choose him. I am currently working on learning about what is real? And via his therapist we are working on "us" and how to communicate the truth to each other. Listening, reading, watching as much information on this subject as I can stomach, all valuable and helpful. Then, just a few days ago as I was scrolling through youtube suggestions I saw Mental Healness from Lee being honest about his disorder and using the word "self aware" shocked me!!! After digesting the truth of his videos (through painful tears and gut punches) I realized how much I needed this raw truth from a narcissist because although none of the truth surprises me I was able to hear for the first time the truth if what my husband was really thinking and the why's of his abusive behavior. For the first time since the separation I felt I might be safe enough to possibly have a conversation with him, knowing that he has been practicing his cbt therapy in his thoughts and actions toward me. During our conversation Lee and his truths about what is going on inside the brain of a narcissist was so valuable to avoiding the traps and minefields of our past conversations. He actually asked me to send a link to his youtube channel! I am self aware enough to know that this is just a beginning to a very improbable but possible restoration in the far distant future of a lot of hard work and a lot of money--but there is this new found hope I now have :) So thank you for your truth, you and your precious wife are an answer to my prayers.Read full review »

Thank you for your insight! I’ve listened to many experts and therapists over the last 3 years while recovering from narcissistic abuse and I have to say that your podcast has been the most helpful. I only wish I had discovered this sooner.

I’ve listened to the episode where you talk about Dorey going through the tunnel so many times. “Just keep swimming!” ...Read full review »
