Don’t Tell Mom….
One of my favorite movies of all time is Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead. I watched it growing up on VHS over and over again. I still watch it and can quote it word for word. My childhood was not great. I was raised by a single mother who was a mess and made very selfish decisions. I have very few good memories of my childhood. Watching that movie is one of them. That movie helped me get through a time in my life, that as a child, I had no control over and couldn’t really comprehend. You were the best part of that movie! You showed me a strong girl who had to be a strong woman for her siblings, such as myself. I saw you do it and knew I could too. Don’t forget that you have made a difference. That movie had and has made a difference in my life. Remember you are strong! Much love from a messed up kid that turned out okay and is doing a pretty great job as being a mom without any kind of good example.
