Michael and Us -- a worthy addition of the 'dirtbag left' genre
Since the emergence of Chapo Trap House, the 'dirtbag left' podcast genre -- irreverent, surprisingly insightful, leftwing commentary series made by and for disenchanted millenials -- there have emerged plenty of imatators but few worthy successors. Michael and Us succeeds because it has found its own niche, offering a cooler, less-enraged style of 'dirtbag left politics' which only serves to amplyfy the hosts' unrelenting cynicism and wit as the latest news filters in week by week or whichever movie/television show they happen to be discussing and parsing through with wry commentary. Always a great listen.Read full review »

Blame Canada. Funny, insightful discussion of politics in films, docos and TV. US-centric and all the better for it.
