“Finally caught up on all of the episodes and this is my favourite podcast! Mike's interviews are phenomenal. They are incredibly thoughtful and yet still feel like casual conversations. He has the perfect ability to let guests tell their stories while helping them express their point when needed (while never putting words in their mouth). It's a quality of long form interview I haven't heard since a certain CBC interviewer from years past.
As much as I love the interviews, I have to admit my favourite parts are the openings and desserts. I love the conversations between Mike, Shane, and Max and hearing all of their stories and all about The Champagne Boys. Max's stories always make me have to stifle my laughter when I'm in public. The desserts are hysterical and Shane's creativity, story telling, dedication, and very relatable insecurities make for wonderful comedic segments. It's been great getting to know everyone over the last few years of their lives. Can't wait for more episodes, the Crave TV show, and maybe one day a live show out west :)”Read full review »
