The Real Canadiana
You can tell the age of someone by asking which Heritage Minutes defined their childhood. For me, I was unaware that they were still being made past the late 1990's. But in pulling up each minute on youtube to refresh my memory, I have found a whole world beyond burnt toast, hockey masks, and sod huts. Grace and Linnea do so much more than just a recap of the commercial which would take, lets me honest, about a minute, and instead delve into the events and culture at the time which caused the event, what the effects were at the time, and what effects are we feeling now. And they do it all without taking themselves too seriously, there is banter, and jokes, and reasons to smile peppered throughout each episode and we love them for it.Read full review »
