Lost faith, found history.
As I understand it, Ehrman lost his faith but not his passion for the history of the New Testament. This is what I find so valuable. Does it matter that the woman caught in adultery should have been included in the KJV and left out when earlier Hebrew tracts were discovered? Should the RSV be regarded as “liberal” when it didn’t use “virgin” in the Old Testament and rightly so according to the Hebrew text? I’m so grateful to have these podcasts to broaden my understanding albeit of no consequence in comparison to the scholarship in these podcasts.
