Starts good, gets lost
I enjoyed the parts about the treasure hunt, was actually quite gripped at the beginning hoping that they would find it. Then the show changes to be about family dynamics and family secrets and I didn’t really enjoy those episodes or find them very relevant. The narrator (who sounds like Nick Cage) seems to have really bonded with Darryl and sees a connection between him searching for the treasure and also his lack of a relationship with his father. I can see the connection too, but wasn’t interested in it enough to listen to multiple episodes about it. Would have enjoyed more about Forest Fenn, the poem, possible solutions, the other treasure hunters who died searching, or other hidden treasures around the world.

Classic move to try and make a stupid story sound more important and then go ahead and insert yourself in there. Sad!
