A great subject with some hiccups in the delivery
I would like to genuinely commend the creator of this show for finding phenomenal subject matter to center this show around. It’s truly one of the last great murder mysteries, where the suspect seemingly disappears into thin air. I loved hearing the specific details and background of the case. Now for the unfortunate (and fairly significant downsides): to start off, this show is just overflowing with ads, I know almost all podcasts have ad reads but the extent this show takes it makes it almost unlistenable, literally. And for the creator/host himself? Well his narration is fine, but oh boy, he seems to think he’s Sherlock Holmes, and forces his personality far too much into the investigation of this case. Kind of off putting IMO. However with all that said, at the end of the day, I’d still recommend a listen for this show.

Most of it irrelevant to the story, especially the COVID, Trump, rednecks, and Ross Perot stuff. This happened in 2001 and wasn’t...Read full review »
