If it's not times when the old is being sacrificed to the new in this sport, it's just the downright baffling and for one reason or another, whether in the UFC otherwise, it pisses off the fanbase. These are the fights that made fans the angriest when they were announced.

In 2024, you kinda take for granted where the sport is. Only about 8 years ago we still couldn't hold events in New York and go back just a bit further you couldn't even put it on TV. Turns out a few celebs played a big hand in helping with that. Some helped out in truly monumental ways.

Recently Dana White following the UFC 302 press conference said that Islam Makhachev is not the P4P best in the world and as long as Jon Jones is in the sport, he's actually the best fighter on the planet. How can this be true if he's only fought 1 time in the last 4 years? I think Dana's mixing something up here.

What a fight between Dustin Poirier and Islam Makhachev at UFC 302 last night. It no doubt saved the card because virtually nothing else really delivered especially that co-main between Costa and Strickland. Dustin Poirier is a legend and if this is really it, what a better end to a career than putting on an incredible performance like that.

Just had a great win in the UFC or another MMA organization? The crowd's eating out of your hand? Well why not take the opportunity to setup your next big payday? In these cases though, pretty everyone though these callouts went waaaay outside the bounds of reality. It's unfortunate when the reaction is laughter instead of hype.

You would think a fighter's worst injuries come from... well you know the sport considering it's MMA, but in these cases, all of the injuries are for a completely different reason and yeah... they are all dumb reasons in the most hilarious ways imaginable. Don't be like Bryce Mitchell and always use a holster.

On paper, some style matchups are just "unwinnable". In each of the cases we mention today, just like how people see Islam Makhachev vs Dustin Poirier, the perception is that these fights are against a style they just can't win against. Turns out in each of these examples, the underdog overcame their weakness.

Jumping into UFC 304, now with two title holders in Aspinall and Leon Edwards both defending championships in addition to big UK stars like Paddy Pimblett featured in big fights.... does this make up for the extremely late (3am UK time) start time in Manchester?

Dana White over the years hasn't been one to mince words. So as you might predict, he's had a ton of issues with fighters, promoters and many who are both. Case in point Oscar De Lay Hoya. But he's actually made up with a few of these. You never thought you'd see the day.

Here's our discussion on how much UFC 303 is selling for. Dana White has already said the card's live gate is way over 20 million dollars and as of now the lowest ticket price for UFC 303 is literally $1,200. We're talking nosebleeds at the price. Is this good or bad for the sport?

Ever saw a title fight get booked in the UFC and thought to yourself.... wait, who? Maybe you knew all of these fighters due to your hardcore fandom, but for most fans, they certainly didn't know or knew very little about these title challengers. In the wake of Steve Erceg's title challenge against Alexandre Pantoja, we just had to explore the topic.

Steve Erceg perhaps just had the biggest fumble in UFC championship history against Alexandre Pantoja right at the end of the fight. Up there with Weidman vs Rockhold and his infamously missed spinning back kick. Two of the judges had it as a tie going into the last round. So no doubt about it, those takedowns cost him the fight.
