Description
Our guest of the week put together her family's cooking recipes and created the most beautiful and meaningful cookbook EVER to support her family and their immigration.
Andrea shares her immigration journey from Mexico to the USA when she was a kid. She talks about the challenges connecting with her heritage when trying to assimilate into the American culture. We discussed how her divorce impacted her immigration process and how was she able to find a solution after fearing deportation.
We talked about the Mamacita’s Cookbook and how it came to life. With the desire to raise money to support her family and the possibility for her mom to be reunited with her grandmother after 16 years apart!!
Listening to this beautiful story makes you cry, laugh, and feel hopeful all at once.
Enjoy and thank you once more time for being here.
