I just started listening, and I love it. I live in New York, and love hip hop, so it's amazing to hear about the birth of hip hop refracted through the perspective of New York voices...and the central personal narrative weaving in and out through this. It's beautifully scored, and it's very refreshing to hear a chromatic voice in the podcast world, which is presently whiter than a pair of painted-up 90s adidas sneakers. :)Read full review »

The only thing I can say bad about this Podcast is it's disappointing when the episode ends. I want to binge listen to the entire thing. I just have to wait for it to show up in my podcast feed. I really like how it's edited and the flow of the story. Keep them coming!Read full review »

My dude Reggie Ossé (aka Combat Jack) and his team absolutely SMASHED this project. I recommend it HIGHLY. An instant classic that chronicled the life of music giant Chris Lightly, and contributes unequivocally to the folklore of Hip Hop, our American art form. Well done, fam!
