Great idea if they get rid of Kois
I have listened to this podcast since it started, and every single episode there is at least one moment where I go "ugh" at the smug-self-satisfied ignorant opinions of Dan Kois. The most recent episode where Kois makes the most weaselly non-apology apology for his previous offensive statement really takes the cake. He has no idea where his smug opinions come from! He can't apologize for them because he's not responsible for what comes out of his mouth! The dude is a blight on this otherwise solid podcast. The episode with Hannah (also smug, but less annoying) was so much better. Kois ruins the culture gabfest when he is on it, and I can only imagine the hash he makes of the Serial commentary. Skip this until they change the host.Read full review »

Enjoy parenting banter and actually good advertising/recommendations. Agree with other reviewers who cite lack of diversity. Best slate podcasts engage us in worldviews a outside middle/upperclass white Eastern liberal views.

Even though i don’t have kids yet, this is a wonderful podcast to listen to. I feel like I’m getting a crash course of things i would have never thought about. excellent!
