“I turned off the latest 1st trimester episode because it felt so upsetting. When she answered the question about what it means if you don’t have any symptoms, and says that could mean you’re at a higher risk for a miscarriage. 🤨 Noooo…. Don’t tell this to the scared new mama who wants to be pregnant but doesn’t feel it. The host also downplays the anxiety that causes women who go through waiting on that 1st appointment while not feeling pregnant. You’re begging your body to have morning sickness! Please don’t just tell us that we are lucky. I’m pregnant with my second now, and again… don’t “feel” pregnant. And, with my first baby, I never got a single symptom my whole 1st trimester (and didn’t throw up/ have morning sickness my whole pregnancy). Symptoms were very light overall, and I gave birth to a very healthy baby boy. 🙏 So Mamas who don’t feel sick in the first trimester, you’re not crazy for wanting to feel sick and your baby is doing AMAZING! The research shows that it’s the the way the mom’s body reacts to pregnancy hormones that determines nausea in pregnancy. If you’re someone who doesn’t get sick with nausea/vomiting much normally, you may not in pregnancy either. 💖 YOU’VE GOT THIS, and you’re doing amazing! I know the host seems SO kind, and likely didn’t mean to offend or hurt. Just wanted to throw this out there though for other moms who get scared by that statement.”
