Top of the pile
This is a brilliant podcast. I’ve only recently discovered it, via recommendation, and it is immediately obvious that this a podcast for serious tennis enthusiasts. Gill presents the show like an adult talking to other adults, something that is rare in the tennis podcast world, particularly the UK-based shows that are often patronising, biased and banal. I was beginning to think there wasn’t a proper, analytical, unbiased tennis podcast out there. So pleased to have discovered this show. Genuinely interesting, insightful, and full of passion and respect for this great sport.

I discovered recently this Podcast vía YT, the algorithm got it a bit late but it’s better late than never. Question: If you look back a year which aspect of Carlos Alcaraz’s game improvement has shock you the most? Which aspect you think he’s struggling the most?

Tennis pundits release too many solo shows but are better together. A conversation is more interesting than a soliloquy. You think you’re Hamlet or Macbeth but you’re more like Laurel and Hardy.

Hi Gill, I have a question regarding Coco Gauff’s forehand. Instead of changing her extreme grip, which it feels like it is too late to do, what are other changes or tweaks she can make to her forehand wing in order to make it more reliable and potentially a strength?
