Perpetually entertaining
Bill's podcast is a simple formula - he draws from his experiences from the past week, which usually meanders into other subjects. It doesn't seem scripted at all, apart from notes, but for most filling over an hour of material this entertaining would need some kind of preparation. He talks about subjects ranging from women, his pitbull dog, his Prius, his lack of drumming skills, getting warned by hotel security about his loud voice, his red hair and 'butcher's block' forehead, to more structured discussions about fuel economy, conspiracy theories and sports (usually a diatribe against a rival team). His live-in girlfriend Nia also appears now and then, which adds another dimension onto the podcast. There is something for everybody here, and even an hour every week leaves you feeling like you want more. The free-flowing nature makes this stand out over the rest of comedy podcasts - you get the feeling he's just doing it for the fun of it, and not for self promotion. Even a short lived and ill-placed advertising feature for a florist (only lasting one episode) is butchered as Bill screams at an NFL game on the TV half way through. I can't think of what I'd listen to as I travel to work in the mornings if Bill were to quite doing these, I think they've become part of his appeal!Read full review »

Just not my cup of tea. After trying out a few episodes, I am really surprised by how high this ranks here on iTunes. I suppose if you are a fan, this is must listen. I just don't find him funny. Two stars for the effort, one star for the material.Read full review »
