Great writing and reportage
I know Emily contributes to They Walk Among Us and she is a great writer and prolific storyteller. I know she’s from Northern Ireland and I’m familiar with the accent, but there’s something off about her cadence and the rhythmic pauses in her narration that go beyond a lilt and simply become singsong and frankly annoying. I keep listening from time to time but can’t subscribe as I would not be able to listen regularly. I’ll buy her books and appreciate her work elsewhere. I think that with a bit of coaching she might give a more polished presentation and that would be wonderful. Sorry, I can’t take the ads. Ugh, they’re awful, mostly pseudoscientific garbage that she reads out with a straight face. I guess it’s one way to get subscribers.

The way that she describes and builds up is great and keeps you intrigued and I really enjoy the addition of audio from the news at the time

A podcast covering fascinating, lesser known cases and hosted by a prominent true crime author. However, the host's tone is too light for her dark and heavy subject matter, it's distracting.Read full review »

Ugh. love the content but gotta get a better voice. All the awkward pauses were funny at first but that got old fast. If you need to drink some coffee or some Red Bull or something. Or u can ask crime junkies for some help
