Loved the First Episode!
Great first episode! I’ve loved Emily from back when she was mostly on Tumblr, and I’m so happy to see her branching out even further to deliver fantastic content! It would be really great if there could have been a small warning (a quick “hey guys here’s a word from our sponsors”) before the advertisements so that the listeners aren’t abruptly pulled out of the narrative, especially since the narrative itself is well put together. The police recordings definitely kept the podcast interesting and it was very well mixed in with the narration, although it was somewhat difficult to hear sometimes, that’s to be expected because of the age. However, towards the end of the podcast there were like 6~ minutes dedicated to the audio which was super hard to hear. I felt the content could’ve been summarized succinctly by the narrator in 2 minutes instead. Honestly, this was a really fantastic first episode. Thanks so much for all your work with Morbidology!

I like how she mixes her own research with audio from the cases (although sometimes the audio clips are hard to hear- but that’s to be expected with old archives). I also like how the podcast started by talking about the...Read full review »
