This is not a season worth of story.
Intrigued by the first two episodes, I hopped on spotify and (all too quickly) finished the first "season" of this show. This show suffers from the same issue that many of these new "binge-worthy" audio dramas do. Namely, the entire season of this show feels like at most two episodes worth of content. The story is interesting, but it quickly becomes unnecessarily burdened by exceptionally unrealistic depictions of a technologically illiterate mother becoming "the best" phishing scam-artist overnight. Feels like an attempt by Gimlet to get another show greenlit into a television series, rather than an audio drama produced for its own sake. The only consistently good thing about the execution of this show is the lead performance. I wish she had more substance to work with.Read full review »

This is by far the best begging to a podcast story I’ve ever heard! Congratulations and keep it up.
