There's a new Ducati engine, and it doesn't have Desmodromic valves!!! Emma thinks Ducati is on the right path, and this engine is getting her excited. But there's also new engines from Honda and CF Moto. Does she care about these? We go down the list of new things recently announced, including new models from Zero, an Electric Royal Enfield, a fuel injected DRZ400, and a more powerful Vespa, and ask the group if they care and if so why.
With Liza, Scott, Miss Emma, Zack, Josh and...

Liza got a jeep and can't stop talking about it. But really, when you think about it, a Jeep is practically a motorcycle. You can easily work on them, and driving them gives you almost the same sensation as riding, with your hair in the wind and the smells of the outdoors.
In fact, many Jeep owners are also riders, so the crossover makes sense. But here's a question that brings us to our topic tonight; muscle bikes. How many muscle car owners are also muscle bike owners? And why aren't...

Everyone is back from their trips, and the band is back together. Stumpy John and Naked Jim share stories from their trip to Moon Rocks Nevada OHV. They experienced everything from wide open desert to single track and river beds. Desert riding can bring a lot of fun and dangers both, but fortunately they had no issues. One thing for sure though, is that they have people like our guest Ed Stovin to thank for having access to these off road wonderlands. Ed has been working tirelessly as an off...

Listen and let us know what you think.

This week we are joined by a surprise guest, Karam from Canada. It's about this time every year that the snowbirds descend from Canada down to our year round riding climate to see what our California roads have to offer. Karam is on such an adventure, but this one is different. He's riding a DR650 with all of his belongings and gear, and a Husky as well. Fortunately Scotty discovered him at a local grocery store, and invited him to come share his story.
In fact, Douglas and Scotty have their...

This week we dive into an interesting topic: staggered riding formation. This is something that is passed on from rider to rider, and not taught in any schools. Different groups have different guidelines to their rides, sometimes making it confusing even to an experienced group rider. What is the standard, and who should be setting it?
Next up we play a game called Breakfast Club, where we find the bike that best matches each of the stereotypes from the movie. Do you agree with our...

And now that Minnesota is becoming the 6th state to legalize it, we wonder what everyone else is so scared of? We list the pros and cons of splitting and filtering, as well as some of the unwritten etiquette.

Travelling solo for more than 33,000 miles on a motorcycle taught Annette Birkmann to experience the unknown not as fraught with danger but as providing endless opportunities.
'Every time I have reached a goal in my life, it has been with the expectation that once this goal is achieved, everything will from then on be fine – I will be free, I will be happy. But things seldom work out that way.’
At the age of thirty-one, Annette left her job as a lawyer in Denmark, sold her belongings, and...

Either way, you've probably seen some of his videos on the Fortnine Youtube channel. The Unkillable KLR is one of our favorites, and Why I Stopped Wearing Motorcycle Body Armour is one of the most controversial. We talk to him about both of these, as well as the production side of things, and also spring a game on him called "Finish Your Own Quote". Ryan is...

This week we are off to the MotoAmerica races at Laguna Seca, and boy did we have a good time. Even if you don't follow racing, there something for everyone to enjoy. We did some test rides and Liza makes a bold prediction about a certain Chinese bike about to be released here. Eric and Liza did the "not a race" parade lap and managed to make some passes in the corkscrew. The weather was perfect, which made race watching extra fun, and the races were exciting as well. We still haven't quite recovered from our jet lag, so here's one from the vaults. Back in 2016 we met this crazy British woman named Emma, who knew more about motorcycles than anyone else. With some smooth gin and promises of fame, we lured her into our trap to join the podcast, and the rest is history. Enjoy!
