Inspiring, educational, cognitive, entertaining
Listen to educated, thoughtful interviews with artists, conservationists, ranchers, hunters, and naturalists—and some who inhabit all these roles. Learn how humans live cyclically with land, plants and animals through birth, death, and the lives of it all in between. It’s always so refreshing to hear cognitive and educated voices who can see beyond a polarized political climate to the truth that we are all connected by the natural world we’re all part of, like it or not. Ed Robertson engages guests with preparedness and probing questions to expose ideas and practices and life stories that would otherwise go unheeded. And his voracious advocacy of reading is an important message for all. Keep it up, Ed. Bravo!

I appreciate Ed, a fellow North Carolinian, and his enduring interest in every facet of life, land, conservation, politics, and art in the western US. He manages to strike that rare balance for a podcast host - engaging and well-informed, without being annoying or talking over his guests.
