Awesome Resource
I have been teaching for 10 years and had not read any book on current trends in education until the summer of 2018 when I read Daisy Christodoulou’s Seven Myths About Education. I was hooked and captivated by the vast amount of research and references in her book. That began my journey into educational research (Spacing, Interleaving, Forgetting, Memory, etc.) Then come summer of 2019, I was given a podcast by my HoD (Craig Barton’s interview with Mark McCourt). My thinking on teaching changed forever. Considering the fact that I am an avid audiobook listener and I have not finished a single book since July 2019, this is amazing. I love the podcasts. CPD on the move; car, treadmill, walk, jog, etc. Every teacher must listen to the current trends in pedagogy and educational research. Well done Craig! What an amazing resource. And your takeaways at the end of the interviews are just ‘flipping’ 😀 great!!

More reviews of Mr Barton Maths Podcast
As a new trainee teacher this podcast has been fantastic for everything from suggestions of great maths education books (Jo Boaler, Ed Southall two excellent uses of my first bursary payment) to techniques and what we can expect from our lessons. Keep up the good work!

These interviews are completely brilliant. I don't teach maths, but he has interviewed some of the biggest names in education research. Has a great style - very casual but carefully crafted questions.Read full review »
