“I’ve listened to a couple of episodes and won’t bother listening to any more. I found the section at the end when additional material is provided a not very interesting ramble. A tendency to judge the past against current standards/values.”

“Have just started listening to this brilliant podcast. Honestly it’s addictive and still on the earlier episodes. It’s well researched and learning about crime cases that I’ve not heard before. Brilliant host and can’t get enough!”

“I listen to lots of podcasts but rarely go the extra mile* to leave a review.
Ignore any negative reviews as most of the whining is about the extra commentary for Murder Mile, not Murder Mile itself. I’ve been binging from Episode 1 recently and it’s the perfect accompaniment to my working...”Read full review »

“Re-listening to the back catalogue in between the new ones being released, these podcasts are incredibly well researched and edited. Subject matter is very diverse and always written with the victims at the heart of the episode. The informal waffle after each episode is for me the icing in the...”Read full review »

“Am on a narrowboat in the north of England - gets a bit confusing when boats chug past in stereo with no movement from my boat 🤪
Street sounds as other audio effects are so effective.
It’s going to take some time to get through the chronological backlist as I’ve just got to August 2018 so I...”Read full review »

“This was my favourite podcast and I “enjoyed” Mike’s company and quirky humour but sadly the occasional coarseness has now become very frequent and down right unpleasant.
Mike seems to be aiming at the lowest common denominator of podcast listeners and I’m now deleting my sub.”

“This podcast is brilliant. The episodes are well researched and narrated. Mike is considerate in his story telling and extra mile (the waffly bit at the end) is funny, engaging and informative. There’s also daily inch for when Mike is away researching for episodes which are brilliant.”

“So each episode is two parts: The first half is really coherent and well-produced and narrated. The host makes a LOT of conjecture about people's motivations, which I find annoying, but it's still pretty engrossing, if you take these armchair analyses with a grain of salt. But in the...”Read full review »

“I love this Podcast! The host is a man you warm to instantly. It is crystal clear that so much research goes into each episode. Michael approaches each case with sensitivity and insight. “I’ve stopped listening to this podcast as the ‘jokes’ are off putting and out of context, and the extra mile stuff at the end is unbearable. That needs to be a separate episode so those of us who can’t stand it don’t have to listen to it. Until then… adios”
