Astonishingly bad and disappointing
How can this be on BBC Sounds? The presenters come across as having decided (or having been told by friends) that they have good banter and should do a podcast. They don’t and they shouldn’t have. It’s frustratingly muddled, superficial and unprofessional (sounds like it was made inside a wardrobe) and full of ‘banter’ interruptions that the presenters think (wrongly) will endear them to us. I don’t know them as people. I’m sure they’re very nice, and I do like the idea of a couple doing a podcast. I just think that this particular couple should take their love of true crime (and, ahem, themselves) and talk about it quietly, privately, and not out loud for anyone else to listen to. And certainly not with the endorsement of the BBC.

More reviews of Murder They Wrote with Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling
Real murders are… fun? That seems to be the message here, with flippant and uncomfortable results. Surprised the BBC put their name to this.

I love this podcast. Laura and Iain have a great rapport (obviously) and pick such great subjects for the podcast. I wish there were more episodes

I was a living legend for their last podcast and missed hearing these two on my weekly runs. They have a perfect balance of back story and banter and hope we get lots more!
